Wine industry plebiscite: what you need to know #bcwinevote

The British Columbia Wine Authority (BCWA) issued its plebiscite ballot by email on May 20 to each grape winery licence holder. The ballot and cover letter explains that the votes must be submitted to the BCWA no later than 11:59pm on June 30, 2016.

Scott sent both a Word and PDF version of the plebiscite ballot, as well as a cover sheet with background information that we are sharing below. Contact Scott at BCWA for a copy of the ballot. All currently-licensed wineries get to vote, regardless of whether they are currently members of the BCWA.

Only one person can vote on behalf of the winery licence holder.

The completed BALLOT may be submitted to the Authority by any of the following methods:

In special circumstances the Authority is also prepared to accept voting by way of telephone. Should it be necessary for you to submit your vote this way please contact General Manager Scott Hennenfent in advance at (250) 492-2872. He will verify your status and arrange for your vote to subsequently taken by telephone by Authority staff.

THIS COMPLETED BALLOT MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE AUTHORITY BY NO LATER THAN 11:59 PM, JUNE 30, 2016 IN ORDER TO CONSIDERED IN THIS PLEBISCITE.
